Il 5 e il 6 novembre 2023 segnano una tappa importante nel 70° Anniversario della Lacrimazione della Madonna a Siracusa, nel ricordo della Visita Pastorale di San Giovanni Paolo II che, nel 1994, dedicò e consacrò il Santuario alla Madonna delle Lacrime,
Per fare memoria dell’evento, Domenica 5 novembre 2023 alle ore 17.30, Mons. Giuseppe Liberto, Direttore Emerito della Cappella Musicale “Sistina”, presiederà una solenne celebrazione in Santuario e, alle ore 19, presso il Centro Convegni, terrà una Lectio Meditativa su “Il Pianto della Vergine Maria”.
Lunedì 6 novembre 2023, nell’ambito della trasmissione “Di Buon Mattino”, Tv2000 (canale 28 del digitale terrestre) si collegherà in diretta con il Santuario di Siracusa, per approfondire ancora una volta il mistero delle Lacrime della Madonna a partire dal Magistero di San Giovanni Paolo II.
La sera, alle ore 18.30, in Basilica l’Arcivescovo Lomanto con tutti i sacerdoti, i diaconi, i religiosi, le religiose, i gruppi, i movimenti ecclesiastici e tutti i fedeli, presiederà il solenne Pontificale nel 29° Anniversario della Dedicazione del Santuario della Madonna delle Lacrime. L’Arcivescovo Lomanto scrivendo ai sacerdoti ha sottolineato: “Alla Madonna delle Lacrime vogliamo chiedere ancora – in comunione con Papa Francesco e tutta la Chiesa – la fine della guerra in Medioriente, in Ucraina e nelle diverse parti del mondo, perché senza pace l’umanità va verso il baratro” (Lettera ai sacerdoti,1.11.2023).
A rendere più solenni le due giornate dell’Anniversario della Dedicazione del Santuario sarà la presenza dei cantori della “Schola Cantorum Madonna delle Lacrime”, della “Schola Cantorum Madonna del Carmelo di Floridia” e della “Corale Iubilaeum di Augusta”, dirette dal M° Giulio Mirto, dal M° Gaetano Raddino e dal M° Luigi Trigilio.
Nella giornata del 6 novembre 2023, saranno esposte le reliquie di San Giovanni Paolo II presso la Basilica del Santuario.
