Nel 75° anno della fondazione della Comunità dei Figli di Dio, la Basilica~Santuario Madonna delle Lacrime di Siracusa ospiterà una mostra sulla vita del fondatore don Divo Barsotti, uno dei più grandi teologi e mistici del nostro tempo.
Saranno esposti poster delle case di vita comune del Servo di Dio don Divo Barsotti, dei monaci e delle monache della Comunità, alcuni libri del Padre e dépliant di presentazione della Comunità. Alcuni consacrati delle Comunità accoglieranno i visitatori, pregando e dando testimonianza delle loro fede nel Signore Risorto.
La mostra sarà esposta in una Cappella del Santuario, da domenica 06 Marzo 2022 e si concluderà sabato 12 Marzo alle ore 18.00 con la celebrazione della Santa Messa presieduta da sua Eccellenza Francesco Lomanto, Arcivescovo di Siracusa.
Nota: Don Divo Barsotti nasce a Palaia nel 1914 e muore a Settignano il 15 Febbraio del 2006. Ordinato sacerdote fonda a Settignano (Firenze) la Casa madre della Comunità. Scrive testi di spiritualità tradotti in varie lingue. Fu predicatore (memorabili furono i suoi Esercizi spirituali predicati alla presenza di Paolo VI in Vaticano) e guida spirituale in molte comunità religiose italiane e straniere. Il 25 Settembre 2021 si è ufficialmente aperta la causa di beatificazione del Servo di Dio Don Divo Barsotti, nella Basilica fiorentina della SS. Annunziata. La Comunità dei figli di Dio è una associazione pubblica di fedeli che desiderano vivere nel mondo il mistero dell’adozione filiale, avendo come strumenti quelli che nella chiesa sono da sempre i mezzi propri della spiritualità monastica: ascolto della Parola di Dio, vita liturgica e sacramentale, preghiera del cuore, esercizio della carità fraterna.
