Nelle scorse settimane, il gruppo territoriale CISOM (Corpo Italiano di Soccorso dell’Ordine di Malta – sez. di Siracusa), avendo predisposto presso la Basilica~Santuario Madonna delle Lacrime di Siracusa un punto di raccolta, per aiutare la popolazione Ucraina, minacciata dalla insensatezza della guerra, ha raccolto oltre 3.000kg tra cibo e indumenti, frutto della generosità di molti fedeli e cittadini di Siracusa.
Il prezioso carico – grazie all’altruismo di una Azienda di Autotrasporti – è stato traslocato da Siracusa a Catania, per poi essere consegnato presso il Polo Logistico del CISOM di Milano e da lì – tramite le Ambasciate dell’Ordine di Malta – raggiungere il confine Polonia-Ucraina.
La Madonna asciughi le lacrime di chi è nel dolore e benedica quanti hanno contribuiscono ad alleviare le sofferenze dei fratelli umiliati dalla guerra.
Al momento è sospesa ogni raccolta di indumenti, mentre – presso la Cappella di Gesù che porta la Croce in Santuario – continua tutti i giorni la raccolta di alimenti, che saranno destinati alle famiglie bisognose di Siracusa e alle famiglie che accoglieranno i profughi provenienti dall’Ucraina.
